Person to Person Renting Guidelines The following are guidelines you may want to consider when renting an item from and to an individual. These are only rentandhire.ie's opinions. It is advised that both parties involved should make sure they are completely satisfied before completing any rental transaction. Legal advice should be sought if either party is in doubt before completing a transaction. The owner should note the following: 1. Name, Address and Landline number of both parties. 2. The Terms and Conditions for the rental. Description of the item being rented to include:
Both parties should ensure that both they and the items are adequately insured for the intended item use. If the item is to be cleaned before return, document how this is to be done. Agree costs if the owner takes this cleaning responsibility. The owner should ensure that they get a copy of photo I.D from the renter e.g drivers licence/passport. Both parties should sign and date this rental agreement. Once signed by both parties, a copy of this agreement should be given to the renter by the owner. Please note: these are only guidelines. These should be used as an aid to help the owner prepare a rental contract as applicable. Rental companies will have their own terms and condition contracts. These contracts may or may not include some of rentandhire.ie's guidelines. |
